The Cultural Center was refurbished with a grant from the Embassy of Japan to include the most up-to-date audio-visual equipment with the objective of promoting cultural activities and encouraging young artists and performers as well as hosting conferences and workshops. Since its renovation in 2007 the Center has been the setting for several cultural programs, exhibitions by embassies and organizations, as well as conferences and workshops organized by visiting and resident companies.
